Hen Do

Thanks for posting this photo Alice of your Hen Do, it was a pleasure having your Hen party with us and we are delighted that you enjoyed yourselves.

You all drove exceptionally well which proves Hens can drive just as well as Stags.

We have experienced a significant rise in Hen Parties here at JDR Karting with most competing in a Karting Grand Prix and then having a few games of Laser Tag afterwards. It is great fun venturing around the Laser maize on a quest to shoot your friends and gain points and special powers.

We are ideally situated for your Stag Party or Hen Do as we are only 15 mins away from the lively night life of Cheltenham and lovely out door locations of the Cotswolds.

JDR Karting Racing Team | Brands Hatch 2015

Brands Hatch Monoposto Championship 2015

The JDR Karting Team drivers locked out the second row of the grid after qualifying very well on Saturday at the Lotus Festival. Huge crowds and support races filled the whole weekend.

On Saturday Richard made a great start and went into 2nd place where he remained for several laps only to be overtaken near the end of the race by more powerful 1400cc Hyabusa engined F3 Dallara's of Jeremy Timms and Marc Fortune.

Craig Hurran finished a fine 5th place in his 1000cc Suzuki powered Jedi.

Sunday provided an excellent day of close racing. Richard suffered traffic in qualifying and only managed 5th on the grid however managed to get a better race set up for the race. Craig had a few problems in qualifying being held up in traffic with a large 36 car grid and only managed 10th on the grid.

Richard made a fantastic start and went from 5th almost in to first place by the first corner but had to brake to avoid pole sitter Jeremy Timms as he moved across to block causing Richard to narrowly avoid colliding with the tyres.

As the cars went through Paddock Hill bend Jeremy spun in front of James McLaughlin and Richard Gittings but both managed to avoid colliding with him. James and Richard had an epic battle throughout the race and changed positions on a few occasions. Later on the two 1400cc Hyabusa powered Dallaras passed Richard and James down the straights. Richard finished 0.7s behind James over the finish line. Richard had the fastest lap of the race for a 1000cc car just 0.05s off the lap record which he set last year.

Craig Hurran managed to bring his car over the finish line in a fine 7th place.
